Reaching new heights
Drone Training Program for Hikmat Foundation Students
In an inspiring initiative to empower young women with cutting-edge skills, six students from Hikmat Foundation’s Noor Girls High School in Meghwal Mathia traveled to Hyderabad for a one-week drone pilot training program conducted by TaraUAV, a DGCA-certified training academy. This transformative opportunity, held from November 17 to 24, 2024, was generously supported by our CSR partner, DMI Finance.
The hands-on training program equipped the students with a Remote Pilot Certification issued by the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The curriculum included aviation concepts, drone components, regulations, weather, risk management, and basic radio communication—providing a gateway to the growing field of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). With drones increasingly utilized in sectors like mapping, agriculture, and policing, this program opens doors for our girls to explore exciting career opportunities in the aviation industry.
The students were chosen through a competitive process involving a written examination and preparatory coaching in Physics, Math, and English. Guided by a senior representative, the group embarked on this journey of learning and discovery, sparking curiosity and confidence to explore new horizons.
At Hikmat Foundation, we believe in empowering our students to dream big and soar high, both literally and figuratively. This drone training program is a testament to our commitment to preparing our girls for the future, equipping them with the tools and skills to navigate an ever-evolving world.
Our gratitude to DMI Finance and to TaraUAV for their impact on Hikmat’s students.
